Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions for My Homeschool Spanish (MHS)
Course Registration and Payment
To reserve a seat in any MHS course, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the tuition fee is required. The balance of the payment is due by the third Monday of the course. For those who find full payment cost-prohibitive, MHS offers negotiable payment plans.
Scholarships
MHS is committed to making Spanish learning accessible to all. We are developing a scholarship fund for families in need. Interested donors are encouraged to contact MHS for more details.
Refund Policy
Participants may be eligible for a partial refund if they need to drop a registered course. However, a portion of the tuition ($75) is non-refundable for each course. For detailed information on refund eligibility, please get in touch with us.
Class Times and Instructor Availability
All live class times and office hours hinge on instructor availability. Unforeseen circumstances may occasionally require changes to scheduled live class days/times. MHS commits to notifying affected students and families as promptly as possible in such events, collaborating directly with families to find the most suitable alternative time. Live classes at MHS are intentionally capped at 12 students to ensure each student receives individual attention and ample opportunities for Spanish conversation practice. Due to this cap, availability for class days and times is limited. If a student's preferred class slot is fully booked, alternative slots suitable for their level will be offered. In instances where a class or level reaches full capacity, a waitlist will be established, and families will be notified of openings on a first-come, first-served basis.
Section Closure Policy
Many other teachers and businesses close sessions if a minimum class size isn’t met. Not us! MHS is committed to education regardless of class size. Homeschool classes will run even with one student. Adult classes require a minimum of 5 students.
Books and Materials
Course fees do not include books and materials. Students are responsible for obtaining necessary resources, such as Mundo Real for Spanish 1-4. Contact us for more details on requirements. Spanish 1-4 students are responsible for obtaining Digital or Digital+Print access to Mundo Real, which is the primary text/curriculum for the high school credit classes. The cost of other books varies depending on the course and on the types of books students purchase (for example, new books vs. used books, online only vs. online+print). If you have any questions about textbook/materials requirements, please contact us.
